To the Congress of the United States:
In accordance with the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, I herewith report a proposal to
rescind $8 million in budget authority previously provided to the Office of the Federal Inspector
of the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation System. In addition, I am reporting a new deferral of
$3.6 million in funds appropriated to the Office of the Solicitor and Office of the Secretary of the
Department of the Interior.
The details of the rescission proposal and deferral are contained in the attached report.
