The President today announced his intention to appoint Sylvester Emmanuel Williams IV to be a
member of the National Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention,
Department of Justice, for the remainder of the term expiring January 17, 1984. He would
succeed Auristela Frias.
Mr. Williams is currently a student at Howard University in Washington, D.C. He is expected to
attend Stanford University Law School, beginning in 1983. He was an intern for the Senate
Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs in 1981 - 1982. He was born May 24, 1961,
in Chicago, Ill.
