The President today announced his intention to nominate the following individuals to be members
of the Board for International Broadcasting. These are reappointments. The President also intends
to redesignate Frank Shakespeare as Chairman.
Frank Shakespeare, to serve for a term expiring May 20, 1986. Mr. Shakespeare is president of
RKO General, Inc., in New York, N.Y. He is married, has three children, and resides in
Greenwich, Conn. He was born April 9, 1925, in New York City.
Ben J. Wattenberg, to serve for a term expiring April 28, 1986. Mr. Wattenberg is a senior fellow
at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. He is married, has three children, and
resides in Washington, D.C. He was born August 26, 1933, in New York City.
