By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and laws of the United States of
America, including the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as amended (5 U.S.C. App. I), and in
order to increase the membership of the President's Commission on Industrial Competitiveness, it
is hereby ordered that the second sentence of Section 1(a) of Executive Order No. 12428 of June
28, 1983 is hereby amended to provide as follows:
``The Commission shall be composed of no more than thirty members appointed or designated by
the President.''.
