By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and laws of the United States of
America, including the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as amended (5 U.S.C. App. I), and in
order to increase the membership and extend the life of the President's Commission on Industrial
Competitiveness, it is hereby ordered that Executive Order No. 12428 of June 28, 1983, as
amended, is further amended as follows:
(a) The second sentence of Section 1(a) shall read: ``The Commission shall be composed of no
more than thirty-five members appointed or designated by the President.''.
(b) Section 4(b) shall read: ``The Commission shall terminate on December 31, 1984, unless
sooner extended.''.
