The President today announced his intention to nominate Dennis R. Patrick to be a member of the
Federal Communications Commission for a term of 7 years from July 1, 1985. This is a
reappointment.
Mr. Patrick has been a Commissioner on the Federal Communications Commission since 1983.
Previously, he was a special assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for
Communications and Information, Department of Commerce (1983); Associate Director for Legal
and Regulatory Agencies, Office of Presidential Personnel, the White House (1982 - 1983); and
an attorney with the law office of Adams, Duque & Hazeltine in Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. Patrick graduated from Occidental College (A.B., 1973) and the University of California at
Los Angeles (J.D., 1976). He was born June 1, 1951, in Los Angeles, CA, and now resides in
Washington, DC.
