Nomination of Daniel L.
Brenner To Be a Member of the Board of Directors of
the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
The
President today announced his intention to nominate Daniel L. Brenner to be a
member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for
a term expiring
Since
March of this year, Mr. Brenner has been director, communications law program,
UCLA School of Law. Previously, he was senior adviser to the Chairman, Federal
Communications Commission, 1984 - 1986; a legal adviser at the FCC to the
Chairman, 1979 - 1984; an attorney with the law firm of Wilmer, Cutler &
Pickering in Washington, DC, 1977 - 1979; a clerk to Federal District Judge
William Matthew Byrne, Jr., in Los Angeles, 1976 - 1977; and a law clerk to
Westinghouse Broadcasting Co., 1975.
