Nomination of William W.
Treat To Be an Alternate United States Representative
to the 42d Session of the United Nations General Assembly

The
President today announced his intention to nominate William W. Treat to be an
Alternate Representative of the United States of
America to the 42d Session of the General Assembly of
the United Nations.
Since
1958 Mr. Treat has been chairman of the Bank of Meridian in Hampton, NJ. From 1958 to 1984, he
also served as president of the Bank of Meridian.
He
graduated from the University of Maine (A.B., 1940), Boston
School of Law (J.D., 1946), and Harvard University (M.B.A., 1947). Mr.
Treat was born May 23, 1918, in Boston, MA. He is married, has two
children, and resides in Hampton, NJ.
