Statement on Michael K. Deaver
Nancy
and I are sorry to learn the jury's decision in Mike Deaver's
trial. He has been a longtime friend and has served with dedication. Beyond
that I cannot comment further at this time, since the decision will likely be
appealed through our court system.
Note:
Mr. Deaver, who had been Deputy Chief of Staff to the
President, was found guilty of three counts of perjury by a Federal grand jury.
