Nomination of Warren J.
Baker To Be a Member of the National Science Board
The
President today announced his intention to nominate Warren J. Baker to be a
member of the National Science Board, National Science Foundation, for a term
expiring
Since
1979 Mr. Baker has been president of California Polytechnic State University in
San Luis Obispo, CA. Prior to this, he was a professor and vice president of
academic affairs at the University of Detroit, 1976 - 1979; assistant professor
of civil engineering, 1966 - 1967; and associate professor, 1967.
Mr.
Baker graduated from the University of Notre Dame
(B.S., 1960; M.S., 1962) and the
