Initial Order for
Emergency Deficit Control Measures for Fiscal Year 1989
By
the authority vested in me as President under the Constitution and by the
statutes of the United States of America, including section 252 of the Balanced
Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 (Public Law No. 99 - 177), as
amended by the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Reaffirmation Act
of 1987 (Public Law No. 100 - 119) (hereafter referred to as ``the Act''), and
in accordance with the report of the Director of the Office of Management and
Budget issued August 25, 1988, pursuant to section 251(a)(2)(B) of the Act, I
hereby state, pursuant to section 252(a)(3), that no aggregate outlay
reductions are required pending issuance of the revised report and final order.
This
Order shall be reported to the Congress and shall be published in the Federal
Register.
