Appointment of Stephen
I. Danzansky as Deputy Assistant to the President for
Economic Affairs
The
President today announced the appointment of Stephen I. Danzansky
as Deputy Assistant to the President for Economic Affairs.
Mr.
Danzansky has served since 1985 as a Special
Assistant to the President and Senior Director for International Economic
Affairs on the National Security Council Staff, where his duties included
coordinating and planning economic summits for the White House. Mr. Danzansky's appointment and the recent appointment of Dan Crippen as Assistant to the President for Domestic Affairs completes a functional realignment of economic affairs
within the White House. As principal Deputy, Mr. Danzansky
will facilitate economic policy coordination within the Executive Office of the
President.
