The
following collection has not had a preliminary survey conducted by archivists
at the Library as of this time. We have
not determined who created this collection and whether the material will remain
in this office. In all likelihood, the
chronological files listed in various containers will be the work product of
certain individuals and we will transfer the material to their collections.
There has been some indication that most of this material will belong to Legal
Advisor staff member, Daniel Levin.
The
majority of the folders appear to be responses to requests for National
Security Counsel documents requested by independent
counsels, the Iran-Contra investigation, Congressional requests and on-going
litigation particularly related to Freedom of Information Act requests for
documents from the NSC.
