Air Force One

Discovery Center

The Air Force One Discovery Center at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is an immersive, educational experience designed to inspire the next generation of student leaders. The Discovery Center is designed to give students the opportunity to experience the responsibilities and challenges faced by members of the Executive branch of government and those closely involved with the administration. This comprehensive, high-tech learning environment includes

  • a replica of the Oval Office,
  • a replica of the White House Press Room,
  • a military situation room modeled after the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan, and
  • a Boeing flight simulator.

While visiting the Discovery Center, students will have the opportunity to be immersed in a realistic, interactive environment and role play historical figures. Students become the advisors to the President, top level military officials, members of the White House Press Corps, or even the President! Along with a combination of pre-visit curriculum materials and post-visit discussions, students will practice and improve their critical thinking and decision-making skills in a comprehensive learning environment unlike any other in the nation.
